Web Assignment #2
1.) A daguerrotype is a photograph that was taken using mercury vapor an iodine-sentzitized silvered plate. The surface of the daguerreotype resembles a mirror because the silvered plate makes it a refection of the image. The daguerrotype replaced the process of a camera obscurae. In the 1850's the daguerrotype made its big appearance, and on July 28, 1851 it was the first successful photograph of a Solar Eclipse.
